Jeju Island will crack down on rental car rip-offs for the summer vacation season.

Jeju Island announced on the 3rd that it will conduct a special guidance inspection to check the operation status of 113 rental car companies in Jeju from the 11th to September 30th.

In this inspection, an intensive crackdown will be conducted on the act of receiving more than the amount specified in the rental terms and conditions of the rental car company. According to the Passenger Transport Service Act, if a rental car operator rents a vehicle for more than a rental business report fee, it can be suspended for up to 30 days or fined up to 1.8 million won.
